For 30 years, the Comité Diálogo Ambiental has been fighting the poisoning and toxic assault of residents in Salinas and Guayama in southeastern Puerto Rico. Community members are indispensable guides in co-creating a self-determined, communal present and future–and many are young people.

In mid-June, José Bravo reunited with several environmental justice elders, who were part of the 1991 First National People of Color Environmental Leadership Summit, to share stories and to reflect on the work that remains. They also celebrated Richard Moore's 80th birthday!
