Durante 30 años, el Comité Diálogo Ambiental ha luchado contra el envenenamiento y la agresión tóxica que sufren los residentes en el sureste de Puerto Rico. Los residentes locales son guías indispensables en la co-creación de un presente y un futuro comunitarios y autodeterminados; y muchos de ellos son jóvenes.

For 30 years, the Comité Diálogo Ambiental has been fighting the poisoning and toxic assault of residents in Salinas and Guayama in southeastern Puerto Rico. Community members are indispensable guides in co-creating a self-determined, communal present and future–and many are young people.

On January 28, 2026, JTA's executive director José Bravo, the leadership of Líderes Campesinas, and Valley Improvement Projects' Bianca Lopez convened in Oxnard, California, for a training-of-trainers event! This training centered on the Just Transition Alliance's "Just Markets" Spanish-language workbook, with a focus on toxic chemicals found in dollar store and other "low-cost" retailer products.
